[JDEV] Help me setup irc-transport

I got few troubles and questions about irc-transoprt
 
1.what's the difference between irc-transport and irc-jabber???
   I saw both in CVS.
  
2.Now, i very want to have irc-transport work properly on my jabber
server.......
   what kind of version jabber, irc-transport and modules should I
use???
    I find out the version of jabber is very confused.
 
3.if someone has had experience in settig the transports up
successfully,
   could you please email me.
