[jdev] Presence information query....

Hello All,
       I am under development of the new component in the jabebr system. I
am using Jabebrd2. The new component does the customized task. I want the
new component to track the presence information of the jid's. It will be of
help if anyone here can tell me how to receive/redirect the presence packet
by/to the new component. Do I need to do the configuration changes in sm.xml
or any other xml ? How can a new component query the presence information of
a jid at a given point of time?

Any help in this regards will be great.
