Have you read http://cr.yp.to/softwarelaw.html and
http://cr.yp.to/distributors.html (the problem you mention above is
related to distributors - not to users. And not for every piece of
Software DJB published.)?

Nope. There's no "default" for the logdir. You define the logdir in the
appropriate run-file. Many people only use a dot and only then the logs
will go into same tree. You can also define i.e. /var/log/jabber as last
"action" to multilog to get the logfiles there.

May be. Does this reduce the _quality_ of the software?
