Some real cons:

- DJB's license: you are not allowed to distribute modifications.

- Quite peculiar directory structure requiring modifaction:
  per default, logs go into the same tree configuration data reside in
  (not really nice, if you want to mount your root FS readonly).

- DJB's and it's followers dogmatic attitude (IMHO).

Not really, if you want to adhere to standards conflicting with
DJB's design.
