Trust us ... you have to send your presence and request the roster. ;)
Check with a network sniffer that you didn't loose the connection and
everything has been sent to the server. E.g. my first problem was that I
caused a NullPointerException within the handling of a received packet.
This caused JabberBeans to loose connection but it didn't notice the
lost connection and I thought that I was still connected and I wasn't.
