Ernest-
IIRC, the ICQv7 transport uses some portions of JECL, correct? If so, this
could be the source of your problems, as well. JECL currently requires gcc
3.x+ for full STL support, and FreeBSD only ships with 2.95. At some
previous point, I tried installing the gcc3 port on one of my FreeBSD
boxes, but had some difficulties with this. (That was several months ago.)
I'm not sure what to tell you beyond that, except that you might consider
attacking from that angle. (I can't really help you out much beyond that,
I eventually just gave up.) Most of the Jabber software isn't all that
FreeBSD friendly, but I'm trying to keep my eye on the 1.5 code, at least
to make sure it compiles cleanly.
Cheers,
bs.
