yep using jabber4r and think it's great on the whole. although a few 
bugs to work around and wish it used purely rexml (but the author told 
me he's working on that)

the only thing i've had to add is a couple of mods to the session class 
and a patch to protocol class.

i'm currently trying to fix a few errors that cause my rubybot to c*** 
out on jdev but work in other gc's just fine (yeah i know. yet another 
bot :) ) but it it's a wierd bug as it only happens 99.9999% of the time 
and doesn't seem to be size of gc or character coding related.

haven't tried rjab-connection much although it seems to be whatever one 
else is using especially for games over jabber.
