Isn't that what the prority in a presence is used for?
Let all your helpdesk people use the same address (support at something.com)
but with specific resources (desk1, desk2, ...).
All you have to do then is send the correct priorities to the server when a
resource is available or when they are busy.
Not sure though, but try it :-)
