[JDEV] jsm module information

I was on the jdev groupchat yesterday and recieved answers to many of 
my questions, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me what each of 
the jsm modules does.

I know mod_private allows messages to be saved on the server, but I 
would like to know short descriptions for each of these.

Does anyone know of a doc with this information.
