[JDEV] jabberd dying...

Thanks for the reply Peter.

I reviewed that post and the code inside of base_stdout.c but didn't see that exact
code inside of the base_stdout.c file.  I did find the section where it was printing
the error message to the logs and commented out some lines and it works fine now.  I
don't know enough C to know if what I did was a really good idea or not, but the
server is up and running and survives me login out now.

I don't find editing C code an admin task, should that post have been cross posted?
I am assuming all this is in reference to 1.4.

To anwser the orginal posters question.  I simply commented out the lines in the
base_stdout.c file where the log message you got was to be written and recompiled.
No the server still does the check, but takes no action when the PID changes.
