[JDEV] Additional Services Installation

Hi,
I am having troubles ading additional services to my jabber 1.4 server.
I have been able to unzip and untar the packages succesfully. However,I get 
the following error when i tried to "make" the conferencing and icq 
packages:

$make
Makefile:1: ../platform-settings: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target `../platform-settings'.  Stop.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
