Temas,
        I did the 'make static' and the 'make single' for the
jabber-1.4.tar.gz file that is in download.jabber.org/dists/1.4/final/ . I
had to make a correction in two files. The two files are jutil.c(in
jabberd/lib) and mod_time.c(in jsm/modules). The change was
#ifdef _AIX
#include<time.h>
#endif

I believe Dave C. mentioned this. Did you want the binaries this produced?
