Hello guys

I am a Win32 programmer and I am really interested in building the Jabber
server
for Win32.

Can it be currently built and does it runs on Win32.

Regards
Val

don't mean to seem incredulous, but why? Unless there are some licensing
issues, I would think that the primary goal of a win32 jabber dll is to run
on
a common win32 platform. After all, it's running under windows- there's a
dependency built in. :) As long as we can maintain it as open source while
still using proprietary libraries I don't see why we shouldn't exploit the
"free"
functionality available to us on the windows platform.

There are a whole lot of wins by using MS technologies. I won't iterate
them
here, but I'd like to hear your reasoning.

Here are some things that we could really benefit from:
MS XML parser (msxml.dll)
ADO 2.5 record and stream objects

BTW, should we be holding this conversation on another list? :)
