Predictably enough, I don't agree with this - if any resources are
online, it's reasonable to show the user as online. If you rely on
most recent changes, you end up with.

User is at their desk.
User grabs laptop, logs in.
User walks away from desk and works on laptop.
Desktop goes auto-away.
Contacts' clients say the user is away.
