Yes, that seems to be a nice idea:
* jabber.org will stay clean
* Peter will have more time to post the Jabber Journal on jabber.org 
more regulary :-P
* jabber.org can focus on things such as news and interviews.
* more people can contribute
* translations will become possible
* more software can be added
* XMPP articles will hopefully get a very high quality in Wikipedia
* if there are objectivity concerns, Wikipedia has the policies to 
address them very efficiently

Some disadvantage that IMO should be worked around: if Wikipedia has 
problems (slowness, down), people should be able to visit a regular 
updated and automated backup of the article on jabber.org.
