The s2s component of jabber.org is NOT jabberd14!

jabberd14 in recent versions will not send you an id in the stream from 
the originating server.

jabberd14 version 1.4.4 does send the version attribute and offers TLS, 
but has no SASL.

jabberd14 version 3.0.0 (the next release, and already implemented in 
SVN) offers TLS and does SASL.
