Hello,

Last month, the creation of a Jabber Community Site was discussed on
this mailing list. The project has been started.

After looking for a CMS that suited our needs (excellent multi-language
support + version tracking), we discovered that no such CMS existed. So
we decided to write a small framework in PHP to do what we wanted. We
also started writing articles, and translating them. Most of them are
still waiting for reviews though.

The current state of our work is available on
http://jcs.jabberstudio.org/
We use a groupchat for inter-contibutors discussion :
jcs at conference.jabber.org
And a Wiki for static information :
http://www.jabber.org/wiki/index.php/JCSDocs

http://jcs.jabberstudio.org/contribute is a good example of how
multi-lingual support work.

We are looking for more contributors, especially people able to write
documentation in english. You don't need to be very good at writing
english : you can write in broken english, so we can discuss the content
of articles and fix it, and then somebody else can fix grammar/style
mistakes.

We are also looking for PHP developers, to add a system of comments at
the end of the articles (like on PHP.net).

If you are interested in helping us, please add your name to the Wiki.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank you,
--
