Hi,

my ceterum censeo:

One of the closest you might get in the Jabber space is to see people who are online on the Web with LLuna. Try http://www.lluna.de. It is a Jabber client that makes people aware of each other if they meet on Web pages. There is also a list of web sites with users created from those who voluntarily submit their browsing locations from time to time.
