Streamhost negotiation does solve this p2p/server dilemma for 1-to-1
chats. Multi partner conferences can not be covered through a simple
server routing. Jep-65 is always worth a reading.
The control channel approach was omitted for simplicity's reason. i sure
do see the need, in more complex situations, for ways to adjust the bit
rate, video size, quality of audio, etc.
But in this particular 1-to-1 voice chat context a control channel seems
to be overkill - once the session is initiated, the session is running
and there is no need to switch anything. reestablishment seems ok to me,
keep in mind that switching a running session is a) propably causing a
short gap anyway [as will session reestablishment do] and b) is more
complex in terms of implementation.
