[jdev] jabberd configuration for win2000

need help,
   i facing some problems while configuring jabberd 1.4.2 for win2000(LAN)
1. with default host name 'localhost' jabbred starts but no any client can 
connect to it from other machines.
2. with the host name as local ip address of machine (in config file ) 
jabberd doesn,t starts.
