[JDEV] AIM Gateway Register Error

On sending following XML to register AIM user,

 

<iq to='aim.lindev05.flytechnology.com' type='set'
from='test6 at lindev05.flytechnology.com/totalport'><query
xmlns='jabber:iq:register'><password>password</password><username>u2229<
/username></query></iq>

 

I'm getting below mentioned error message.

 

<iq to='test6 at lindev05.flytechnology.com/totalport' type='error'
from='aim.lindev05.flytechnology.com'><query
xmlns='jabber:iq:register'><password>password</password><username>u2229<
/username></query><error code='406'>Not Acceptable</error></iq>

 

But the same XML input with appropriate username and password works fine
for Yahoo & MSN.

 

What is going wrong here?
