I realise this of course.  What I want to know, is our chance of success.

Of course, but our chances of convincing our ISP's is greater if we can
quote examples of peers or competitors that have successful implementations.
And also, for those of us who are in a position to, it would be nice to have
a list so that we could change to an ISP that offers what we want.
