[JDEV] JabberApplet - anyone got latest code working?

Hi,

I have spent a week trying to get the JabberApplet to run. I get as far 
as Please Wait.... Logon .... Done Gateways.... Contacts....

Then nothing.
It looks like it hangs.

I get
<iq id='logon' type='error'><query 
xmlns='jabber:iq:auth'><username>brad3</username><password>xxxx</password><resource>JabberApplet</resource></query><error 
code='500'>Internal Server Error</error></iq>

in the log file.

Other Jabber clients work and log in correctly with that account, but I 
particularly want to have a client run as an applet in a browser.

Can anyone out there help? There seems to be no useful FAQ or discussion 
list for the applet and it almost seems as if it is no longer active?
