Yes, there is a bug in most transports concerning this. CVS AIM-t at least
indicates in its error message that failed transport logins may be due to
case sensitivity. Fixing is a bit difficult because of downwards
compatibility but should be possible.

Hash is computed this way:
echo -n "jid(case sensitive)" | sha1sum
