[JDEV] Using transports alone

I think you should use "generic" librairies, with no Jabber stuff. Jabber
transports must manage many opened sessions , do a lot of rewriting stuff...
Things that you probably don't need.

You should look at these URLs, they should be a good starting point :

gAIM protocols implementation :
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gaim/gaim/src/protocols/

For yahoo : http://sourceforge.net/projects/libyahoo/

For ICQ : http://kicq.sourceforge.net/icqlib.shtml

Stéphane.

I mean running transports without a jabber server.

I want transports to be included in a client, so it can send messages
directly to MSN or Y! or AOL servers.
But maybe it's too much work. Somebody knows if transports and jabberd
server are deeply interconnected or if there is a quite limited interface
which could be used by a client.

If you mean running them in seperate processes from the main jabberd
take a look here:

http://www.jabber.to/xml/

If you mean something else could you explain a bit more?
