And you are SURE it is running correctly? Mine seems to work, and you
wouldn't notice the problem unless you:
1.) Create a new account
2.) Log in
3.) Log out
4.) Wait 10 minutes
5.) Try to log in again
This is where the problem occurs, because JabberD basically tells you that
you don't have an account. The only way back in is to start over by
creating a new account.
Perhaps it has something to do with setting up Cygwin. I didn't really know
what to install when I was doing that. Perhaps you could tell us exactly
what you have installed in terms of Cygwin. Is anything supposed to be in
the path? I don't have a clue about Cygwin...

We have jabberd running on win2k, and everything seems ok. We are using
the default startup options:
C:\JabberServer\JabberD\jabberd.exe -H "C:\JabberServer\JabberD" -s
"C:\JabberServer\JabberD\spool" -B
I am currently trying to convince my boss that we should be running this
on linux. If anyone can give me more reasons (besides the ones that were
given already) that I can give to my boss for using linux over win2k, I
would appreciate it.
thanks,
~Aaron
