[JDEV] libjabber 'port' and licensing

Hi Dave,

thanks for your help.  Unfortunately, all of

telnet 66.218.71.198
ping 66.218.71.198
telnet 67.81.72.42 5222

just timeout.  That's bad luck but exactly what I expected.

I also used Exodus (0.6.2.0) to try a connection via socks proxy, to
no avail.  If i understand right, I can use Exodus for http polling.
Can someone give me the url of an appropriate jabber server to try it
out?

Sorry, but I don't know about a keepalive method via http.  Can you
explain that to me?  Are there clients that support it (and that I can
try out).  Developing my own client is no option.  Although I'm just
creating one, it's got nothing to do with IM but rather A2A in a telco
environment.
