I am working on the groupchat portion of a client.
Question: User Status
It seems to me that the protocol really only allow for available and
unavailable yet different clients allow for dnd,xa,avail,avail4chat,away. I
have mine working properly with JIM yet I don't feel comfortable getting
away from the standards. How are the rest of you handling this? Is there a
specific algorithm that the rest of you are following for determining these
status values or go with the standards.
