[JDEV] Userlist, personal info & history standards

Hi all,
I'm new to this list, not developing a Jabber client (yet, right now I"m 
a gnutella developer).
I'm interested to know if there's a standard way to store user's contact 
list/history/general data so
users will be able to easily move to other clients without re-entering 
all their info, contacts etc....
