This can be done using current protocol: query client for supported
namespaces with jabber:iq:browse.
I don't think we need another protocol extension for these.

You mean peer2peer? AFAIR Jabber was ment to be server-based protocol
and the standard is not supposed to describe direct client2client
connections.
