[JDEV] yahoo transport-2 problems

I have jabberd 1.4.2 on RedHat Linux 7.3, and am having problems with
RC6 of the new yahoo transport. I obtained the tarball from
jabberstudio.org, and it compiled just fine. I have a main jabberd
process, and two satelite processes (conference and transports). I
copy/pasted this into the config file for the transport process

   <service id="yahoo.imotg.unboundtech.com">
<load><yahoo_transport>/opt/jabber/yahoo-transport.so</yahoo_transport></load>
     <config xmlns="jabber:config:yahoo">
       <vCard>
         <NAME>Yahoo Transport</NAME>
       </vCard>
       <server>scs.yahoo.com</server>
       <port>5050</port>
       <charmap>CP1252</charmap>
     </config>
   </service>

I've made no other changes to any config files. The transport process
starts, and the msn and aim transport work fine. I can register with the
new yahoo transport, and my roster is imported. But when a contact logs
in and I start chatting, the transport process crashes. I don't have a
debug log right now, but can get one. After that, it says all my
contacts are online. It still says I'm logged into the transport!
There's no core dump.

Does this sound like a known problem?
