Sami,
I have upgraded the jabber client to PalmOS 3.5, and made a few changes, 
so that you can receive and send messages with type=chat.
I have uploaded the prc file to 
http://verma.sfsu.edu/users/wireless/jclient.prc.exe (rename it after 
you download).
If you'd like, give it a spin and let me know if it works better.
