[JDEV] user information for other transport

Hi,

I'm not too familiar with the transport/gateway system yet, but I have a 
question...

Is it possible to retrieve user information that are from other 
transports/gateways?  For instance, can I retrieve user information from 
icq/msn/aim?

if so, how do I do it?  Or better yet, where do I go to find the document 
that relates to this topic?
