[JDEV] Not recieving messages in client

I am writing a simple client in tcl using the tcl jabberlib.
I can connect, authenticate myself and send messages but i never recieve 
any messages!
Even though i send mesages form winjab to the user connected with my 
client, my clients socket never recieves anything(i checked with a sniffer).
Does a client have to register itself somehow to be able to recieve 
messages?
