[JDEV] compiling dpsm - problems

Hi,
could anyone give me some hints on compiling dpsm
from CVS ?
When I do 'make' I get 
dpsm.h:79: parse error before 'pthread_mutex_t'
..
dpsm.h:99: field 'k' has incomplete type
..
client.c:387: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
...

the dpsm dir is copied into 1.4.1 server tree.
