[JDEV] Getting a user status ?

Hi,

I'm writing a module and I'd like to know if there's simple way to get the
status of any user registered on a server.

What I'd like to do is :

If a user is offline or away I'd like to send a copy of this message on the
user's phone or pager if a special flag is set in the message.
