[JDEV] Server Setup / Useage

Hi,
     I am curious if the Jabber Server 1.2 can support an intranet by
itself.  I need to get an IM system setup here for our department and
various other users in the company totalling about 50 users.  I dont need
to transport to Icq, Aim, or irc or anything.  The only problem that seems
to keep coming up is the server wants to connect to the main jabber server,
and the firewall here at the company will not allow a packet to get outside
the company.  Hence, it is going to be used for INTERNAL connections only
on the same network.  Can 1.2 do this, and does anyone have any setup
ideas, or places where I can get information on this?  I am pretty lost as
far as getting deep into code, but I can usually handle my own, im just no
expert.  Any help will be extremely appreciated.
