[JDEV] xml stream

Hello everyone.

I am new to Jabber and xml.
Which transport does Jabber use for its xml stream?
Is xml protocol same with the protocol that Jabber use?
If one is to develop a p2p sytem that use SOAP and WebDAV among peers based on Jabber, how he/she should approach? I don't think Jabber supports SOAP or WenDAV right now...

If anyone know answers to these questions, please let me know.
