[JDEV] RFC 2778 and RFC 2779

Hi folks!

I have read two RFC's on instant messages at www.ietf.org, namely:

i)  RFC 2778 - 'A Model for Presence and Instant Messaging'
ii) RFC 2779 - 'Instant Messaging / Present Protocol Requirements'

They are both quite interesting reading in themselves even thought they are 
in an early stage.

My question is:
Have they had any influence on the Jabber project and are they 
valuable/useble at all to the Jabber community ???
