[JDEV] API/implementation docs? etc.

Greetings

I have searched the website but...
I have few questions concerning documentation and customising Jabber
system:

1) Are there any _implementation_ docs about jserver/etherx/groupchat,
or do
    I have to make them myself?

2) Are there any _any_ docs about Jabber server module&service API?

3) Where is the right place to put highly customisable message filtering
in the system?

4) Is there implemented IRC style support to Jabber system? I mean
groupchat implements
    basic IRC channel style chatting but if I want to add passwords,
banned users etc.  do I
    have to implement them myself to the groupchat-transport?
    (Or has somebody made some kind of IRC-transport?)

5) I want to use buddy lists with groupchat system as described in
previous question. Can I
    use Jabber server's already implemented roster functionality or must
I code buddy lists
    to groupchat somehow?

6) Is there html/javascript front ends (chats) to the Jabber system yet
implemented?

7) I have not yet succeeded to compile groupchat. Any hints? Docs talk
about configure, but
    there is no configure script in CVS. Some dependency info in CVS
would be great too...
     (working groupchat.tgz with configure would be great too - plz send
if you have)
