Depending on the platform.  It's possible for everything to build and yet
not be executable, because of problems with the shared libraries.  I start
jserver independently after etherxd on AIX (and felt lucky to get that
much, after all the hacking on Makefiles to get it to build.)  Or it could
be something as simple as setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point at the .so
directories.  Error messages and platform would help.
