Hi Folks,
I work in a small (non-Internet) company and we are keen
to use an IM tool for intranet communication. We looked
at ICQ and decided that its protocols is just not too secure
for confidential communication.

I'm currently looking at using Jabber (when its ready, 1.0,
of course). No doubt Jabber doesn't have security implemented
yet but as far as I remember when following the mailing list,
the architecture was designed for security addition later on.
But I digress...

The real questions that I want to ask you knowledgeable folks
is whether Jabber clients are going to be SOCKsified (either
using SOCKS4 or SOCKS5 protocol) since we are using WinGate
as our proxy server (Don't ask me why...).

thanks much, ohmson
