DSO stands for dynamic shared object, I believe. Same type of technology
as the apache web server. For an example transport, get example-transport
from cvs or from download.jabber.com. 

You will want to make a transport if the server (and not your client) will
be polling email. I imagine that eventually someone will write an email
transport anyways, but as a two-way bridge, not as a notification
mechanism.
