hi there,

I would really love to install the jabber IM server as in-house
communication system,
but I am not getting over the final hurdle.
the server itself installs succesfully and it answers on the default port
5222.
so, that's the good part. bad part is that I am exclusively getting error
messages on every single xml mesage I send to the server.

error messages are looking like this:

SEND
<stream:stream to="krypton.i-dmedia.com" xmlns="jabber:client"
xmlns:stream="http://etherx.jabber.org/streams/">
RCV
<?xml version='1.0'?><stream:stream
xmlns:stream='http://etherx.jabber.org/streams' id='3A2E32B8'
xmlns='jabber:client' from='krypton.i-dmedia.com'>
<stream:error>Invalid Stream
Namespace</stream:error></stream:stream>Connection closed by foreign host.

I looked for a description/manual on the jabber.org web site concerning
the configuration of jabber, but I didn't find a document that helped me
in my efforts.
so if there is a such a document please let me know about it.
or if anybody please could give me a hint how to set up a working jabber
server in a closed-circuit company environment not connected to the
internet.

any info is very much appreciated.

thanks,
chris
