[JDEV] HELP!!

Hi there!

I just got jabber 1.2 installed after going thru a procedure of installing adns, pth and then libjabber1.2 and libxode 1.2 . This is on a linux 2.2.16 glibc 2.1.92 machine.

I just started the server and was not getting connected using the jabberIM. I tried connecting to the snxz0001.cgipl.net server (The linux box) using the userid and password "gzero" "gzero" as a new user using jabber IM.

It gives me a message

"Communications with the Jabber Server (snxz0001.cgipl.net) have been lost. JabberIM will try to re-connect every minute. This problem may occur if you are behind a firewall and have port 5222 blocked (Socket Error Code : 10061)"

I don't have the port blocked at all actually! (If I'm goofing up on that can someone help me on how to get out of that?)
