[JDEV] Roster: additional information

How about adding an additional field to roster item. Currently, 
roster items store a JID, subscription information, a nick name and a 
list of group names.



Now, many people want to add some additional information to each 
roster item (like me <g>). A single fields (<notes> or whatever) 
would already be sufficient. E.g. it's usuful to store a quick info 
*who* someone is, and maybe where you met him/what he wanted etc...


Since we use XML, this could be added easily and fully backwards 
compatible. Older clients would just ignore it.



I was asked about this feature by several ppl, they wanted me to add 
it to Jabbernaut. While I could easily do this by keeping a local DB, 
it would kinda defeat the idea behind server-sider rosters. Plus, I 
think this feature is sufficiently interesting for all of the Jabber 
community.
