  Yes, but this would be of little use for a HUMAN using it for IM.  What it 
WILL serve is a way to get at/send data from programs.  Right now, we could 
easily distribute XML based data, and write a client that connects, sends a 
request, get's data, and logs out.  Jabber then becomes an Instant Message 
Service for Data, and not for one to one chats..  It was kinda a goal to start 
with a long time ago..
