To: XMPP Summit <<a href="mailto:summit@xmpp.org">summit@xmpp.org</a>><br><br><br><div dir="ltr"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">Hi everyone,</span><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">
<br></div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">As you may have read there's a XMPP summit taking place in Berlin, Germany on the 10th September 2014.</div>
<div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><br></div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">Sorry for the late notice, but with Realtime conf coming to a close, no strong call for a NA summit, and because several of us will be in Berlin around this time it seemed sensible to organise something rather than have nothing.</div>
<div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><br></div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">If you could please mark your attendance on the wiki page here <a href="http://wiki.xmpp.org/web/Summit_16" target="_blank">http://wiki.xmpp.org/web/Summit_16</a> so we can organise catering (provided we have sponsorship to cover) and the correct sized room. If there are items you would like to discuss please add them there too. </div>
<div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><br></div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">I will try and organise video conferencing facilities so those not attending will be able to actively participate.</div>
<div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><br></div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">Everyone is welcome, however please see below for a potentially more suitable event.</div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">
<br></div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">The other idea is to have a hackathon on the Thursday (or continue summit discussions) where we can work on the XSF website, discuss XEPs, and do some hacking on ideas. I'm thinking inviting the wider community to this and potentially have barcamp/introductory talks - and calling it xmpp.js just because its JSFest. I'm speaking at a decentralize.js event on the Tuesday so can advertise and we will hopefully pull in some of that community too.</div>
<div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px"><br></div><div style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">Cheers, Lloyd.</div><div><div dir="ltr">_____________________________________________________<br>
