<div dir="ltr">Folks,<div><br></div><div>Your friendly XSF Board has been wondering whether we should put on a Summit in North America this year.</div><div><br></div><div>Our candidate location this year is Portland, Maine, in early October, to coincide with (or run alongside) Monktoberfest 2014.</div>
<div><br></div><div>We'd really like to begin to get an idea of numbers, in order to decide on finalizing the event.</div><div><br></div><div>No commitment is needed at this time, just a note to express interest.</div>
<div><br></div><div>The Summits are generally technical events, somewhat like the <a href="mailto:standards@xmpp.org">standards@xmpp.org</a> list in full-flow, except sitting around a table instead of hammering away at keyboards. We're blessed with a great community of people, and I'd personally encourage people to come along "for the vibe" if you can spare the time.</div>
