<DIV><FONT size=2>I'm a newbie with Jabber and very impressed and I try to
understand how the system work...</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>My questions are :</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>how does a client receive his messages ?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Does he need to have a permanent connection to a server (tcp
socket) which send him his new received messages or does he regularly ask a
server for his new messages ?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>To be a little bit clearer : is it a real connected system, or
does the client send system messages to his server to say "I'm here", "I'm
here", ... "I'm leaving".</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Thanks for your help</FONT></DIV>
